You all know how much I love home decor. In a past life, I would have been an interior designer for sure! Since we moved out of our home in Houston, I have been searching for pieces that will make me feel settled in our new space and the Austin apartment provides the perfect canvas for this new chapter in our lives. Although I’ve kept majority of our furniture from the old home, we have some pieces that don’t fit the smaller dimensions, so I’ve made a list of things that I want to add to my existing decor + share them with you, incase you are looking for a little refresh of your own!
I’ve already bought two of the items from this list. The first one is this gorgeous Kelly Wearstler lamp. I had this on my wishlist for months and finally purchased it! I got the smaller size, in black, and its the perfect size for any bedroom. It’s currently sitting on my dresser in the guest room and l am in love with the way it looks! The second item that I bought is the Carlo Sideboard that I’m using as a console table. This is well made, has a high design factor and honestly, looks even more beautiful in person! It fits perfectly under our TV and matches well with the rest of our decor. If I ever get tired of it sitting under my TV, I’ll be able to repurpose it in another area of our home which also makes its a great investment piece! The Islay Console was a close contender but I went with the natural wood color to compliment my existing furniture. However, I still think that it’s a great piece that can be repurposed for years to come. My next purchase will for sure be this Ada Side Table. I love the way it looks and would fit in perfectly with either of the aforementioned console tables + my white couch. Counting down the days till it’s mine!!
I obviously can’t forget about accessories! This Kelly Wearstler Pop Bowl is a show stopper! Love the texture! Love the black and white contrast! This is a bowl of my dreams — if this doesn’t scream high end neutral home decor, I don’t know what does! Alternatively, if you don’t want to spend $1500 on a bowl ( I know, its expensive AF), some great options would be the Regina Andrew Ruffle Ceramic Bowl or this vase.
What are some things you loved this month?!
