You know I love handbags and can talk about them for hours on end. To me they are a piece of wearable art to be collected and cherished — so, if you’re into handbags as much as I am, this post is for you. I can always count on Net-a-Porter to provide lots of inspiration for a little wardrobe refresh. Usually when I’m looking for accessories, handbags are at the top of my list, and I’ve found 6 beautiful bags that I think would be a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe.
When the Bottega Veneta Cassette Bag was released, I thought it would be a trend that would soon be history but with the release of the Cassette chain, I realized that this bag is here to stay! I adore the texture of the leather and the beige color mixed with gold hardware — its perfection! It’s minimalist, edgy but does not lack design. A great essential for the modern woman.
Another Bottega favorite and one that I own is this Mini Pouch. I’ve worn this as a crossbody but definitely prefer to wear this as a clutch. Again, I love the woven texture of all Bottaga bags and this one is no exception. It’s structured on the top with a perfectly slouchy silhouette which makes it so chic to carry as a clutch. Although it might look tiny, it can fit my phone, car keys, cards and a lipstick. Thats all I need for an evening out.
If you need one bag for the entire year, this Chanel top handle should be it! After years of being an avid Chanel collector, I’ve realized how rare it is for Chanel to release a classic white and gold combination. This mini top handle can be worn as a crossbody or carried, making it the perfect bag to dress up or down, depending on the occasion.
The contrast of this brown Valentino Garvani handbag and gold hardware is STUNNING! I don’t have any bag of that color in my collection and I’m almost tempted to purchase this one. The larger Roman Studs as they are called, on top of beautiful quilting, are a great contemporary take on the classic Rockstuds, and I’m here for it! This can be carried as an oversized clutch (very chic!), top handle or worn as a cross body and comes in three colors, but my personal favorite is the brown, of course!
Last two handbags are more or less the same, both black and both top handles. The YSL (available in black and green) has more of a formal feel to it with the embossed leather and front flap closure, however, it does come with a shoulder strap if you need it. While, the Gucci handbag is slightly more casual and modern feel to it. This bag also comes in different color ways, however, I prefer the black.
