As I’ve gotten older, I really don’t have the time, energy or patience to be dealing with a complicated makeup routine. I need my face to look put together in ten mins or under, anything longer than that will just not work. Therefore, I’ve taken the time to streamline my makeup routine and find stellar products to help me achieve my everyday / day / night makeup look with minimal effort and maximum impact. I honestly cannot say enough good things about these products other than they are my go to’s + holy grail products that I will always repurchase!
+ Hourglass Mineral Veil Prime, Vanish Foundation Stick and Vanish Foundation Brush: Best trio of all time! I don’t think I have used any other foundation / primer combo ever since I discovered this about three years ago. The primer creates a perfect canvas for the foundation to glide on like butter! And I mean, like B-U-T-T-E-R. The foundation is full coverage but is very buildable. It has a beautiful dewy finish without looking greasy as the day goes on. The beauty about a stick foundation is that you can apply as little or as heavy as you like! I’ve also realized this doubles up really well as concealer when I’m pressed for time. I think buying this foundation brush is a necessity with this combo. The foundation brush has dense bristles that do a great job of dispersing the primer + foundation really evenly and blending out the foundation to the point of looking like second skin. Donlt know about you, but I really love having the convenience of having a stick foundation and brush as opposed to a liquid foundation and beauty blender these days!
+ Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Bronzer: Just like the name suggests, this bronzer is flawless. I use the shade ‘Medium’ and the color is gorgeous. It looks so natural with just enough give your face the the most beautiful sun-kissed look.
+ Charlotte Tilbury Eyebrow Pencil: The fine slanted tip and color that matches my eyebrows perfectly. It helps to fill in and define my brows with a very natural finish + last all day! The spooli on the other end is a plus to distribute the product without carrying extra tools on hand!
+ Jouer Blush and Bloom Duo: Love this multi purpose stick! First off, the shade Amelie is perfection! It’s a beautiful pink that can be worn on the eyelids, cheeks and lips to create a stunning monochrome look. On days when I really don’t have time, this method is my go to + the stick fits really easily into a small handbags for touchups on the go! When I have a few extra minute spare, I use this as my blush. The other end of the Amelie Blush and Bloom duo has a gorgeous highlight which is perfect for adding a natural highlight to the cheekbones.
+ Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks: By far one of the best one-and-done eye shadow sticks I have ever used! I’ve built up quite the collection and reach for them every single time I do my makeup. They glide onto my eyelids like butter and the color is very buildable. You can either do a light shimmery layer or intensify it if you want a heavier look. I use a gorgeous champagne shade for my everyday makeup called Moonlight. Laura Mericer is known for her easy to use makeup and these do not disappoint! A must for any makeup arsenal!
+ Charlotte Tilbury Color Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil: This eyeshadow pencil been my go to for over 5 years. I literally cannot get enough of it. I use the shade ‘Bronzed Garnet’ which is specifically made for green eyes to pop. I swipe it across my lower lash line and use my ring finger to gently blend it out. It’s that simple but really accentuates my eye color. The Color Chameleon range has eye pencils specially made for every eye color so pick the one thats best suited for you.
+ Kosas Color and Light Duo: I discovered Kosas last year and I am very impressed with the quality of this clean makeup line. This palette is a cream blush and bronzer duo. Although I still haven’t used the bronzer, the cream highlight is one of my absolute favorites. I’ve noticed that applying this highlighter with fingers is the best way to achieve that effortless lit from within look as the formula is buttery smooth and blends like a dream!
+ Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: I’ve used this makeup setting spray since collage! The formula works so well for my skin and keeps my makeup in place the entire day.
